Skysong Innovations is a separate, independent private nonprofit entity that manages technology commercialization for Arizona State University. Established in 2003 as AzTE (Arizona Technology Enterprises), it operates as an Arizona LLC with autonomous deal-making authority to license ASU IP and seed ASU spinout companies. It is NOT a grant funder: all capital deployed is equity-based seed investment into startups that hold an ASU IP license.
