About

DEWA is the sole electricity and water utility for the Emirate of Dubai, operating under the Government of Dubai. Its primary mission is utility operations — generation, transmission, and distribution — not grantmaking. DEWA's R&D Centre at Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park conducts applied research in solar PV, water/desalination, smart grid, and energy systems. External research engagement is limited to the Al Baheth Programme (university student internship/capstone collaboration) and an annual CleanTech Hackathon. DEWA does not administer open competitive research grants for external organisations.
