EB Research Partnership + DEBRA of America
Supports partnerships linking American investigators with industry through translational innovation.
EB Research Partnership (EBRP) is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2010 that funds research toward treating and curing Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) through a venture-philanthropy model. EBRP describes itself as "the largest global organization dedicated to funding research to treat and cure" EB; it retains a royalty/financial interest in funded projects and reinvests returns into further EB research.
DEBRA of America (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America) is a separate US 501(c)(3) founded in 1980. Its focus is direct-to-patient services, education, advocacy, and partnerships with treatment developers; it does not publish a standalone competitive research grant RFP on its own website.
Note: This slug bundles two legally distinct organisations. Research grants catalogued here are those of EBRP (ebresearch.org). DEBRA of America's research funding flows via partnerships and the DEBRA International federation; its visible grant programs (Ad-hoc Grants, Basic Science Grants, EB2026 Travel Grant) are operated by DEBRA Research gGmbH (Austria), a separate entity that warrants its own funder slug.
