The competition runs through a Spark phase and an Advance phase before a final live pitch event, with a cash prize awarded to the winner of each challenge, and entry is open to academia, non-profits, high-tech SMEs, spin-offs, start-ups and individual students, scientists and researchers from eligible EU member states, overseas countries and territories, and Horizon Europe associated countries.
