Georgia Department of Revenue is the state's tax authority, administering Georgia tax law and approximately 60 statutory tax credit programs covering R&D, job creation, film production, historic rehabilitation, and rural development. It does not award discretionary grants — flagship programs include the Film Tax Credit (~$1B+ per year), the Quality Jobs Credit, the Employer's Jobs Tax Credit, and the Research Tax Credit. Several credits are co-administered with Georgia Department of Economic Development (DECD) and other state agencies.
