III (Institute for Information Industry) is a Taiwan-based non-profit research foundation (財團法人) established in 1979 under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Its mission is to support innovation and application of Taiwan's ICT and assist in developing the digital economy. III operates as a research-performing organization — it conducts in-house ICT R&D, talent training, industry consulting, technology transfer, and patent commercialization. III does not issue grants or run open calls for proposals.
