Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research
Funds long-term initiatives in science, education, and social impact through public mission-focused grantmaking.
MAScIR (Fondation MAScIR) is a Moroccan research-performing foundation established in 2007 by the Hassan II Academy of Sciences & Technology. It runs applied research centers in materials science, nanotechnology, biotechnology, microelectronics, photonics, and energy — with a mandate to serve Morocco's industry, agriculture, and economic actors.
MAScIR is NOT a grant-issuing funder. It performs contract research and is a beneficiary of state funding, OCP Group / UM6P endowment, and EU consortium budgets. Since 2019–2020 it has been integrated into the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) group, where it operates as an affiliated research foundation. It does not run open grant calls or application portals.
