Support is paid in two instalments, most of it on signing the financing contract and the rest once the farmer's business plan is under way, and applicants must already be registered in the APIA system before applying.

The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) is the Romanian government body that administers European Union agricultural payments and support schemes for the country's farmers. Its DR-30 intervention channels non-reimbursable support to young farmers under 40 who are setting up or taking charge of an agricultural holding, funded through Romania's CAP Strategic Plan.
