RTX Corporation is a US aerospace and defense conglomerate with business units Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon. Its community work sits inside Connect Up, a USD 500 million, 10-year commitment running from 2021 to 2031 and aimed at lifelong learning, honoring service, and community resilience.

The philanthropic side uses grants, volunteer grants, matching gifts, and occasional in-kind donations. Standard requests go through Benevity Versaic, with an unsolicited window from June 1 to July 31 for the following calendar year. Eligible organizations are generally 501(c)(3)s or international equivalents, with emphasis on STEM education, workforce development, veterans and military families, food security, disaster relief, and conservation. Volunteer grants can reach USD 5,000, and larger requests above USD 50,000 require a countersigned agreement.

RTX also has a separate venture arm, RTX Ventures, that makes equity investments in defense and dual-use startups. That activity is distinct from charitable giving. The corporate giving program is strongest for nonprofits that can show measurable outcomes, employee involvement, and a direct link to one of the three focus areas.
