Two public bodies sit behind this slug. SARIO, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, is a state agency under the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. It works to accelerate investment, export, and innovation and to position Slovakia as a technology center attractive to foreign investors, experts, and business partners. MIRRI is the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization, the central authority for EU-fund use, investment policy, regional development, and informatization.

SARIO runs or supports business-facing routes such as Voucher Support, SME internationalization services, Regional Investment Incentives, and the R&D superdeduction. MIRRI manages Program Slovensko 2021-2027, the country's consolidated EU cohesion programme, with a budget of EUR 12.594 billion, and it coordinates delivery through intermediate bodies and other EU-fund channels. Across those routes, the covered sectors reach manufacturing, hardware, IoT edge, AI infrastructure, robotics, materials, biotech, medtech, energy, and climate.

For applicants, the fit depends on which institution is in play. SARIO is the route for investment attraction, export growth, and incentive-led expansion, especially for firms with job creation or value-added projects. MIRRI matters when a proposal sits inside a broader EU-funds or regional-development call rather than a direct national grant window.
