Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) is Saudi Arabia's sovereign investment vehicle for private capital. It sits inside the National Development Fund ecosystem through SME Bank, was established in 2018, and operates from Riyadh as a fund-of-funds and co-investment platform.

Its mandate is to strengthen private financing for Saudi startups and SMEs from pre-seed to pre-IPO. SVC has invested in 65 private capital funds across venture capital, private equity, venture debt, and private debt, and those funds have reached more than 1,000 startups and SMEs. The original capital mandate was SAR 2.8 billion, and another SAR 1 billion was committed in 2025 into 17 U.S.-based venture, private-equity, and private-debt funds.

SVC works through two equity routes: investment in funds and direct investment in startups. Its sector reach spans artificial intelligence, biotech, climate, and hardware, and it is best suited to managers building capital pools or founders seeking institutional co-investment rather than non-dilutive support.
