Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE) is a venture capital firm that transforms cutting-edge research from the University of Oxford into companies addressing major global challenges. Operating on an equity model — 'Find. Fund. Build.' — OSE partners with researchers and entrepreneurs to co-found and scale deep-tech, life-sciences, and healthtech spinouts.

OSE holds a preferred-partner relationship with the University of Oxford, giving it privileged access to Oxford spinout opportunities. It is financially independent of the University. As of 2026, OSE has backed 50+ portfolio companies, reached £1.3bn net asset value, and raised £850m+ from global investors. It was previously known as Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI) before rebranding in 2021.

OSE offers no grants, fellowships, or non-dilutive funding programs. Engagement with innovators is equity-only: researchers may discuss commercialisation potential for a spinout investment; no open calls or application portals exist.
