Bezos Earth Fund
Funds Bezos Earth Fund, a private philanthropy financing climate and nature initiatives around the world.
The Bezos Earth Fund is a private philanthropic foundation established through a $10 billion commitment from Jeff Bezos in 2020, to be disbursed as grants addressing climate and nature by 2030. As of mid-2026 the fund has granted $2.3 billion across 315 projects organized under seven priority areas: Conserving & Restoring Nature, Future of Food, Environmental Justice, Decarbonizing Energy & Industry, Economics Finance & Markets, Next Technologies, and Monitoring Data & Accountability.
The fund does not accept unsolicited proposals. Grants are sourced proactively by the fund's internal team, which identifies the highest-leverage markets, geographies, and partners aligned with each priority area. Grant sizes range from $1 million to $100 million. The one historical open-call exception — the AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge — completed Phase I (May 2025, seed awards of $50K each) and Phase II (October 2025, $2M each to 15 teams); no further open call has been announced as of June 2026.
