ID Ventures is the early-stage capital arm of Invest Detroit, a Detroit-focused Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). It deploys equity, convertible debt, and SAFE notes into pre-seed through Series A Michigan startups across technology, life sciences, mobility, and advanced manufacturing. Since 2009, ID Ventures has backed 244+ companies, achieved 30 exits, deployed $42M+, and helped its portfolio companies leverage more than $3B in follow-on capital. It is not a grant-making agency: all investment instruments are equity or equity-equivalent.
