Business Wales (Busnes Cymru) is the Welsh Government's delivery brand for business grants, innovation support, skills funding and advice across Wales. It acts as a single front door to Welsh Government-backed support for businesses, social enterprises, knowledge-based institutions and public-sector bodies.

Its current portfolio includes the SMART FIS family for research and innovation, the Flexible Skills Programme for workforce training, the Young Person's Start Up Grant and the Future Proofing Fund for retail, hospitality and leisure. Services are delivered in English and Welsh from Cardiff, and the body sits under the Welsh Government rather than as a separate legal entity.

The operating model is practical and regional: it channels devolved funding into business support, training and innovation rather than acting as a standalone lender or investor. The record ties it to the Welsh Government's wider economic delivery architecture, with a fiscal year running from 1 April to 31 March, and it also links the Welsh Government's business-facing offer to local delivery across Wales.
