Looking for sole innovators, industry, academic and research organisations able to build a portable, non-ionising imaging system (such as terahertz or millimetre-wave) that can reveal covert devices hidden in walls, ceilings and floors without damaging the building. The demonstrator must weigh under 20kg and 0.3 cubic metres, run off a single-phase supply or battery, include a display and user interface for a technical user, and image through a standard plasterboard wall; getting under 10kg, imaging through tens of centimetres of plasterboard or wood, working from only one side of the wall, and a stretch goal of getting through a few centimetres of concrete are all treated as desirable rather than essential. Relevant expertise includes antennas, RF engineering, electro-optics, data science, non-destructive testing and quantum technologies.
