This intake of CSIRO's Innovate to Grow program is open to small to medium-sized enterprises based and operating in Western Australia, working in the agrifood and agtech sectors. It is a free, 8-week online program that runs from a half-day virtual workshop on 25 June 2026 through eight weeks of self-paced learning, fortnightly webinars and exercises, capped by an in-person meeting in the last week in Perth CBD. Participants are paired with an R&D coach and a CSIRO facilitator; the facilitator provides feedback after Exercise 1 and Exercise 2. There is no funding attached to the program itself.

Eligibility requires an ABN, the business to be based and operating in Western Australia, fewer than 200 employees, and either currently or early-stage in exploring R&D. Australian subsidiaries of foreign entities are not eligible. CSIRO awards places based on the strength of each application, including alignment with the program's purpose and a clear desire to investigate doing an R&D project. The intake is supported by the WA Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD); applications close 31 May 2026.

WA-based SMEs working on innovative technologies or solutions in: meat and meat product manufacturing; agritech and AI; food and beverage manufacturing, packaging and transport; livestock and aquaculture; value-add products; waste optimisation and recycling; or energy reduction and circular economy.
