Innoviris is the Brussels-Capital Region's public research and innovation agency, and the DUT (Driving Urban Transitions to a Sustainable Future) program represents its participation in a Horizon Europe transnational co-funding partnership. The DUT partnership supports research and innovation projects that address urban sustainability transitions across three defined themes: Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), the 15-minute city (15mC), and Urban Circular Economy (UCE). Brussels-based organizations that participate in a DUT transnational consortium receive their project funding directly from Innoviris, while the international evaluation is conducted centrally by the DUT Partnership secretariat.

The DUT 2026 call is scheduled to launch in late summer 2026; no deadline or award amounts have been published as of mid-2026. Critically, the Innoviris program page confirms that in 2026 no new projects can be funded — only applications submitted under the DUT 2025 cycle continue to be processed and may receive funding in 2027 depending on available resources. Brussels partners in any future call must submit a parallel regional application to Innoviris (in addition to the DUT Partnership submission at dutpartnership.eu); failure to file the Innoviris regional form disqualifies the Brussels partner from regional co-funding.

Eligible applicants for the Brussels funding tranche include for-profit companies, nonprofits, universities, and research organizations based in the Brussels-Capital Region. Individual applicants are not eligible. Contact for Innoviris DUT inquiries: Gaëlle Hubert at ghubert@innoviris.brussels. Teams targeting a DUT 2026 submission should monitor dutpartnership.eu for call text publication and prepare early, as transnational applications require consortium formation across multiple EU member states before the call opens.
