The competition is open to early-stage, deep tech startups worldwide across sectors including defence, medtech, AI, ICT, biotech, materials science and energy. Applicants need real IP-rich science or engineering behind the venture, at least a lab-scale prototype (TRL 4, or TRL 3 for AI startups), and a team combining a scientist with an entrepreneur.
