Global Human Rights and EU Values
Funds research to strengthen global human rights, gender equality, accountability and the EU’s credibility as a values-based actor.
In a multipolar world, persecution, discrimination and violence against vulnerable and marginalised groups intersect with trade, investment, foreign policy and contested accountability. This Research and Innovation Action supports evidence that helps EU and national policymakers protect rights globally while maintaining a consistent, values-based reputation.
Projects should investigate how trade …
Examine how EU external action, global governance, trade and geopolitical interests affect human rights and gender and age equality. Study accountability for international crimes, cooperation with third countries, humanitarian assistance, rule of law, sanctions, conditionality, trade agreements, supply chains, labour standards and Global Gateway investment. Focus on vulnerable or marginalised people, including ethnic and religious minorities, people with disabilities, migrants, women, LGBTIQ people, refugees, older people and indigenous peoples.
