Horizon Health: Rare Disease Partnership (ERDERA) Phase 2
Funds rare-disease research calls, clinical trial networks and shared data for ERDERA's second phase — open only to the existing coordinator.
ERDERA — the European Rare Disease Research Alliance — is the EU's partnership for rare-disease research, already running under a grant awarded in 2023. This topic is its second phase: money to add new activities, and optionally new partners, to that same grant agreement. It is not a new competition. Only the coordinator of the existing ERDERA consortium can submit a proposal here.
The money fund…
Continuation funding for the European Partnership on Rare Diseases (ERDERA), delivered as additional activities (and, optionally, additional partners) added to the existing grant agreement rather than a new consortium. Funds four workstreams: joint transnational calls for rare-disease research and innovation, with grants to third parties of up to €10 million each; a European Clinical Research Network built on the existing European Reference Networks; a cross-border FAIR data and registries ecosystem; and work to integrate basic, pre-clinical, clinical and implementation research so results reach patients faster. Aligned with the International Rare Disease Research Consortium (IRDiRC).
