EPERVIER is an anti-drone call for projects launched by the Agence de l'innovation de défense (AID), the French Ministry of Armed Forces' defence innovation agency. The call targets detection and neutralisation of FPV racing drones — specifically 6-inch or larger racer drones capable of exceeding 100 km/h, including fiber-optic-controlled or autonomous variants. AID seeks innovative solutions covering neutralisation by destruction, capture, radio-frequency jamming, or spoofing, with an effective operational range of at least 15 metres from a protected asset, operational in both day and night conditions across open terrain and urban environments.

The solution must be portable by an individual combatant or light vehicle; fixed or vehicle-dependent systems that do not meet the portability threshold are out of scope. Maximum project duration is eight months per project, including an experimentation phase conducted in Metropolitan France. Applicants are responsible for securing all required authorisations and certifications from competent authorities to conduct live experiments. The published deadline was 26 November 2025 at 23:59 via the demarches-simplifiees.fr portal, though the source page remained listed under active calls at the time of capture. The award budget was not disclosed in the public-facing call documentation and is expected to be specified in the downloadable call PDFs.

Eligible applicants are expected to be French entities or defence-tech innovators operating in France; the call is administered directly by AID and is distinct from AID's ASTRID or RAPID programmes, which have separate tracks. To compete effectively, applicants should demonstrate a prototype or validated concept against the specific FPV drone threat parameters, propose a credible 8-month experimentation roadmap, and confirm they can meet French regulatory requirements for live anti-drone trials. Submission was via the AID project portal; interested parties should monitor the AID website and the appels-en-cours index for confirmation of the cycle status or any extended deadline.

Anti-drone solutions against 6-inch+ FPV racer drones exceeding 100 km/h. Methods: destruction, capture, jamming, spoofing. Range: 15+ metres. Must be portable.
