Supporting the AI/ML digital transition of Copernicus Services

The Commission wants AI/ML applied across the Copernicus value chain: retrieval algorithms, cloud and shadow detection, automatic segmentation, fault detection in production workflows, foundation models for Earth system modelling, and even chatbots that guide users across Copernicus services. It expects proposals to address as many of these areas as possible while keeping AI outputs explainable, trustworthy and clearly labelled to users.
