The Commission wants teams working on quantum-enabled inertial navigation systems — either cold-atom sensors for maritime and aviation use, or chip-scale sensors for small satellites, drones and autonomous transport — to benchmark their technology and produce a detailed technical, industrialisation and financial roadmap. The roadmap must be validated against European Investment Bank and InvestEU investment criteria.
