The call wants multidisciplinary research that closes gaps in life-cycle assessment (LCA) tools, methods and data used to judge the environmental sustainability of chemicals, materials and resulting products, building on the EU's Environmental Footprint methods. Proposals must cover the full life cycle from raw-material extraction to end-of-life and align with the Safe and Sustainable by Design framework.
