Strategic Partnerships for Raw Materials: Innovative Approaches for sustainable production of Critical Raw Materials is a European Commission call that funds joint EU-and-partner-country projects, worth EUR 7.5 million each, that extract or process critical raw materials — minerals and metals only, sea mining excluded — more sustainably, pairing an EU downstream user with industry from one of four…

The call wants innovation actions that develop and demonstrate extraction, processing or refining technologies for primary critical raw materials (minerals and metals only; sea mining is excluded), each measurably reducing environmental and social impact. Every proposal must focus on one of four groups of EU strategic-partnership countries: Argentina/Chile; DR Congo/Namibia/Rwanda/Zambia; Kazakhstan/Serbia/Uzbekistan; or Australia/Greenland.
