The call wants research into producing renewable hydrogen from biogenic wastes without recycling potential — agricultural, forest and biogenic municipal waste, sewage sludge, industrial wastewater — through biochemical or thermochemical Waste-to-renewable-Hydrogen pathways, aiming to raise carbon-to-hydrogen yield, cut emissions and reduce hydrogen production cost.
