The European Commission wants proposals to develop and validate product-specific testing methods that measure circularity aspects — durability, reparability, recyclability, recycled content — for at least one of: detergents, paints, chemicals, non-ferrous metals, home/interior textiles, footwear or toys. The resulting methods and data feed directly into the 'preparatory studies' the Commission uses to set binding ecodesign requirements under the ESPR.
