This call funds the launch of a new Europe-wide partnership dedicated to forest research -- covering climate resilience, biodiversity, sustainable forest-based bioeconomy and new green forestry business models such as carbon farming. It's aimed at public research organisations across EU member states and Associated Countries working together on shared forest research agendas. The partnership is also expected to involve social sciences and humanities disciplines alongside forestry science, and to empower citizens to help co-design, co-create and co-assess its research agenda. Specific action should integrate Ukraine into the partnership to strengthen European sustainable forest management.
