BIRAC administers the Product Commercialization Program Fund as a grant-in-aid commercialization support program for Indian biotechnology startups. The fund covers the gap after technology or product validation, when a product has reached TRL 7 and needs support for market launch, targeted-market test validation, and large-scale commercialization.
The 2026 PCP Fund call was for Indian startups incorporated within 10 years from the call completion date. The startup must have at least 51 percent Indian shareholding, certified by CA or CS with UDIN, and 51 percent shareholders must be Indian citizens with valid Indian passports.
The captured call closed on March 15, 2026. BIRAC also states on the PCP program page that the call is currently closed due to unavoidable reasons and will be informed when it becomes active, so this row is closed until a successor PCP call opens.
Market launch, pilot-market validation, and large-scale commercialization of biotechnology products and technologies developed by Indian startups at TRL 7 or above.
