Assistance Scheme for Handloom Spinning-Weaving Women Workers

Pays 90% of the cost of a loom for Uttarakhand women from traditional weaving families.

An eligible woman submits an application with Aadhaar, bank details and any weaving registration to her District Industries Centre. A district-level committee chaired by the General Manager selects beneficiaries against the criteria, and once approved, 90% of the sanctioned equipment cost is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account; she covers the remaining 10% herself.

This scheme is for women workers in Uttarakhand whose family's ancestral occupation is weaving, spinning, knitting or allied handloom activity, who need a handloom, pantloom, frameloom or related equipment to work.
