What this grant funds

The programme funds joint applied R&D projects between an Indian company, at least 51% Indian-owned and not a subsidiary tied to a foreign-headquartered company or vice versa, and a Canadian SME with 500 or fewer full-time employees, across advanced manufacturing, clean and green technology, digital technologies, health and bio-sciences, food and agriculture technology, and smart infrastructure. Projects must be market-oriented and aimed at commercializing a new or improved product, process or service, not pure research. The Indian lead company can bring in other industry partners or academic and R&D institutions as a wider consortium if the project needs it.
