AI for Transformative Social Impact

Funds Indian nonprofits building AI-native tools for measurable social impact.

OpenRao Family TrustIndia

For-profit applicants are eligible too, but specifically private limited companies looking to deploy their AI solution in partnership with a nonprofit, whether through hardware, software or channel distribution, rather than for-profits pursuing AI work on their own. RAFT's own definition of an "AI-native solution" is one where AI is essential to delivering the intended impact rather than an option

RAFT wants projects where AI is essential to the intended outcome, not an add-on to a conventional digital tool. It will consider work in agriculture, conservation, disability inclusion, healthcare, frontline-worker decision support, or any other direct or indirect social-impact domain, with work preferably based in Maharashtra.
