PM SVANidhi Startup Challenge
Funds DPIIT-recognized Indian startups up to Rs.20 lakh to build tech for street vendors.
The challenge is run by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs together with Startup India, and it names Validation Stage, Early Traction Stage and Scaling Stage startups as its target applicant profile. The challenge wants scalable tech solutions that strengthen street vendors' livelihoods, across six focus areas: identifying and reaching vendors, building their entrepreneurial skills, bookkeeping and money management, eco-friendly packaging, vending infrastructure built for climate resilience, and connecting vendors to markets. It also covers PM SVANidhi credit card adoption and repayment support for vendors. Startups with an existing product, prototype, pilot or market traction are welcome, not just idea-stage teams.
