Grants Indian-Finnish R&D consortia up to Rs.2.5 crore per project for joint tech development.
On the Indian side, the lead company (the IPL) must be a for-profit company registered under India's Companies Act, headquartered and operating in India, at least 51% owned by Indian citizens, and it cannot be a subsidiary of a foreign-owned company or vice versa; it may bring in other Indian industry partners alongside it. The call backs joint India-Finland R&D projects in sustainable energy (renewables, smart cities, hydrogen, waste-to-energy, EVs, carbon capture, energy storage, virtual power plants, heat pumps), advanced digital technologies (5G/6G, data analytics, virtual worlds, AI), and microelectronics and power electronics including MEMS and sensors. Proposals must be innovative and market-driven, aimed at a new or improved product, process or service headed toward commercialization.
