WCT-BEES Grants Programme 2026-27

Pays small grants to Indian researchers and grassroots wildlife conservationists.

A project has to fit within a 10-month duration, and only one proposal may be submitted per individual or organisation in a given cycle. Applicants previously rejected or already supported can reapply in later cycles, evaluated independently of past outcomes, and an ongoing project can also be supported provided its new objectives build on the earlier work. Data and intellectual property generated

WCT funds conservation research and grassroots projects on endangered species and landscapes of exceptional biodiversity value within India, split between a Wildlife Research Small Grant and a Grassroots Conservation Small Grant. Projects may include a social dimension such as community education or sustainable livelihoods, but species or habitats outside India are not eligible.
