Later-stage startups apply online, and successful applicants are invited to a physical event in Switzerland with workshops and coaching to quantify their climate impact using MassChallenge's Impact Calculator. Startups then pitch to a jury in an online semi-final and an in-person final in Lausanne, where a single winner is chosen and announced at the MassChallenge Switzerland Awards.

The prize is open to startups with proven solutions in agriculture and food value chains: land use and regenerative farming, supply-chain traceability, upcycling low-value commodities, CO2 reduction, and the biofuel value chain. LDC and MassChallenge Switzerland want measurable climate impact, not early-stage concepts.
