Funds up to EUR 2 million (95% of costs) for multi-country teams that get industrial sectors and clean-energy technology providers cooperating, or that build local energy-sharing arrangements among neighbouring companies.
Scope A covers renewable energy, heat-pump electrification and energy-efficiency technologies, including those covered by the Net-Zero Industry Act, and aims to move an industrial sector away from custom-built, plant-by-plant projects toward streamlined, standardised or turn-key solutions shared across similar operations. LIFE Clean Energy Transition wants projects that speed up the decarbonisation of European industry, in one of two scopes chosen up front. Scope A gets a specific industrial sector working with clean-energy technology manufacturers to standardise and roll out solutions like heat pumps, renewable energy and efficiency products across many similar plants, rather than one-off custom projects. Scope B builds energy cooperation among companies in physical proximity — sharing renewable generation, storage or waste heat, and industrial energy exchanges — within a regional or industrial-cluster setting.
