Funds standard projects that raise awareness of nature conservation and support access to justice and compliance under the Aarhus Convention.
Applicants submit a Standard Application Form (LIFE SAP and OAG) through the Portal by the single-stage deadline. The topic shares an indicative EUR 173.5 million 2026 budget line with its companion SAP-NAT-NATURE topic, and mandatory application annexes include maps, site descriptions and species/habitat descriptions alongside the detailed budget table and participant information.
The Commission funds Standard Action Projects on nature and biodiversity governance and information — raising awareness of conservation benefits, supporting compliance and public participation and access to justice under the Aarhus Convention, and enabling proven conservation solutions to be replicated and scaled up. Projects covering nature and biodiversity work itself, rather than governance and information, are excluded and belong under the separate SAP-NAT-NATURE topic.
