Supports Thai social impact groups with NIA grants for prototyping solutions that address community challenges.

The Sectoral Social Innovation Grant is administered by NIA's Social Innovation Driving Unit and funds organisations developing prototype and pilot-stage innovations that address Thai social problems and improve quality of life. It is the primary social-track matching grant within NIA's portfolio, distinct from the economic and commercial funding streams. The programme provides non-dilutive grants up to ฿1,500,000 per project and operates on an annual cycle with multiple rounds per fiscal year. The most recent confirmed active cycle was FY2568; the programme is established and annual, with the FY2569 successor call expected to follow the same pattern. Applications are processed through the NIA MIS portal at mis.nia.or.th and announced through the Social Innovation Driving Unit portal at social.nia.or.th.

Eligible applicants are Thai-registered legal entities with majority Thai ownership, including companies, foundations, associations, community enterprises, and cooperatives. Individual applicants are not accepted. There is no sector restriction — the grant is open to social innovations across any field, provided the project addresses a defined Thai social problem. The focus is on prototype and pilot stages, meaning applicants should have a concept that is ready for development and testing rather than at an early ideation phase.
