Tufts New Ventures Competition
Awards up to $250,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to Tufts-affiliated founders.
Teams of one to five compete, though the competition encourages applying with at least two people, and every applicant must already be seriously considering building the venture full-time and commit up front to being available for both live pitch rounds. The written application, including its two-minute video, first goes to a judging panel that screens every entry down to a semi-final field; works…
Open to teams pitching a new venture across three tracks: General (any industry), Healthcare & Life Science, and Social Impact. At least one executive or founding team member must be a current Tufts undergraduate or graduate student, full-time postdoc, research fellow or resident, or an alum who graduated within the last five years; faculty- and staff-led ventures can also apply if they include such a cofounder. The venture itself can be based anywhere in the world, including in the US or emerging markets.
