xTech|Edge Strike: Ground is a two-phase prize competition run by Army FUZE PIT targeting ground-domain technologies that detect, disrupt, and defeat adversary capabilities. The FY26 cycle addressed five technology focus areas: Ground Payload Delivery Systems; Uncrewed, Automated, and Modular Ground Platforms; Containerized Ground Launched Effect Systems; Autonomous Minefield Systems; and Autonomous Entrenching and Obstacle Systems. Phase 1 awarded up to 15 finalists $25,000 each, with Phase 1 submission windows running December 19, 2025 through January 7, 2026. Phase 2 awarded up to 5 winners $275,000 each. The total prize pool across both phases was up to $2,000,000.
The Phase 2 finals event took place March 3–13, 2026 at the U.S. Army's Grafenwöhr Training Area in Germany, with winners announced March 13, 2026. The FY26 cycle is fully complete. Eligible competitors were domestic and foreign businesses and nonprofits with a primary place of business in the United States or an allied country. Technologies were required to be at Technology Readiness Level 6 or higher — meaning a working prototype was mandatory. Systems were evaluated for interoperability with ISA (Integrated System Architecture) and SAPIENT, and for capability to support NATO Eastern Flank Deterrence Line operations.
Winners from this competition were eligible for placement on the G-TEAD Marketplace, which carries expectations for 90-day delivery, creating a direct path from prize competition to Army procurement. Researchers and companies tracking the FY27 cycle should monitor Army FUZE PIT channels, as the annual cadence suggests a new solicitation will open in late 2026 for the next competition cycle.
