Diagnostics Accelerator

Funds Alzheimer's disease biomarker and diagnostic tools for earlier, easier, and more accurate detection.

The Diagnostics Accelerator is ADDF's collaborative biomarker and diagnostics initiative for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Launched in July 2018, it combines philanthropic capital with a venture mindset, was built to support easier, more accurate, and earlier diagnosis, and is backed by a partner pool totaling $100 million. The program is now closed to unsolicited applications, and the record gives no per-award cap. Historical work under the initiative covered peripheral biomarkers, digital biomarkers, and biobank sharing, but current applicants are directed back to ADDF's open biomarker routes. That makes the accelerator more useful as a reference point for how ADDF has funded diagnostics than as a live application path. For teams reading the current landscape, the practical takeaway is straightforward: this line is no longer an open entry point. The better fit today is ADDF's Neuroimaging and CSF Biomarker RFP, which continues to accept annual applications and gives biomarker teams a current route into ADDF's funding portfolio.
