ADDF-Harrington Scholar Program
Supports academic drug discovery projects in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.
The ADDF-Harrington Scholar Program supports academic drug discovery projects in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It is co-funded with Harrington Discovery Institute at University Hospitals in Cleveland and is aimed at nonprofit, university, and research-organization teams rather than for-profit companies. The program is a grant route with awards capped at $600,000. Applicants must have IP that has not yet been licensed to a for-profit entity, and the geography is limited to the US, Canada, and the UK. The route runs annually, and the smaller geography makes it more targeted than ADDF's global calls. The fit is strongest for translational projects that still need a nonprofit funding bridge but are ready for disciplined development work. Scholars also need to attend the annual scientific symposium in Cleveland each May, and the program does not support anti-amyloid approaches or cholinesterase inhibitors. That keeps the route focused on projects with a specific therapeutic thesis and a clear path to further development.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
