aws Seedfinancing Deep Tech is the later-stage companion to aws Preseed Deep Tech under Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH. It serves small enterprises at applied-research stage, around TRL 6, and it expects companies to be under 50 FTE with turnover below €10 million. The ceiling reaches €889,000, and public support covers up to 80% of eligible costs, rising to 90% with the gender bonus. Unlike a standard non-repayable grant, this route is a conditionally refundable grant. It is interest-free, but repayment can be triggered if the company becomes profitable or sells assets within 9 to 12 years. The programme keeps the same six deep-tech sectors as Preseed, asks for a minimum 10% shareholder contribution, and runs on rolling intake with jury decisions several times a year. The record also notes a path to several million euros in revenue, which marks the commercial maturity expected at this stage. Seedfinancing is aimed at teams that have moved beyond concept and need capital to turn applied research into a business with credible revenue potential.
