ARC Industry Laureate Fellowships
Offers senior industry-university leadership fellowships in Australia with long-term project support and salary support for teams building industrial translation.
ARC Industry Laureate Fellowships are the Australian Research Council's senior industry-mobility fellowships, designed for research leaders who can move between university and industry settings and mentor the next generation of industry-engaged researchers. The scheme sits under the Australian Research Council and is currently paused while the National Competitive Grants Program policy review is completed. When active, the programme awards up to eight fellowships a year. Each fellowship can provide salary contribution for up to five years, plus project costs of up to AUD 1.5 million. The structured record requires an Australian university host, allows research organisations, and excludes individuals, for-profit applicants, and non-profit applicants; consortia are required and medical research is excluded. The strongest fit is for senior people with a strong record of translation and the ability to turn that experience into a step-change research programme. The scheme is built for applicants who can bridge academic and industrial practice, and the latest published selection cycle was in 2025, so anyone tracking the programme needs to follow the ARC calendar rather than expect an open round.
