Queensland Destination Events Program
Supports Grants Queensland events organisations that draw interstate and international visitors.
The Queensland Destination Events Program (QDEP), administered by Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), funds events that drive visitor dispersal across Queensland. Three streams exist: Destination Signature ($15,000–$40,000/year, up to 6 years; proven cross-LGA draw), Destination Significant ($25,000–$100,000/year, up to 6 years; regional events with track record/growth potential), and Destination Events Kickstarter (up to $25,000/year for 2 years; new events). A special stream of $40,000 grants supports events celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Total grant cannot exceed 25% of total event cash expenditure. Rounds run twice yearly. Round 1 2026 closed 8 April 2026 (for events October 2026–January 2028). Round 2 2026 opens August 2026, closes October 2026 (for events April 2027–June 2028).
