AWS Imagine Grant (US)
Offers unrestricted grants to United States nonprofits for social impact using cloud and artificial intelligence.
AWS's Imagine Grant (US) is Amazon Web Services' principal cash grant program for US-registered 501(c) nonprofits. Since 2018, AWS says it has awarded more than $21 million in unrestricted funding, AWS credits, and technical expertise to more than 180 nonprofits, with the program built for organizations using cloud and AI in social impact work. The grant is structured in three tiers. Pathfinder offers up to $200,000 in cash plus $100,000 in credits for frontier AI work. Go Further, Faster offers up to $150,000 in cash plus $100,000 in credits for AI, machine learning, HPC, or IoT projects. Momentum to Modernize offers up to $50,000 in cash plus $20,000 in credits for infrastructure modernization. Educational institutions are excluded, one application is allowed per organization per cycle, and the annual run includes a spring round followed by an invitation-only second round. The program rewards nonprofits that can show a clear technical use case and enough operational maturity to put unrestricted money to work quickly. Stronger fits usually pair a defined implementation plan with a social-impact mission and a realistic cloud architecture. AWS also uses the cycle to provide technical specialists, training, and visibility, so teams that can describe both the mission and the deployment path tend to stand out.
