BARD Fund R&D Collaboration on Food and Nutrition
Funds Israeli companies and TTOs joining U.S. academic research in food, nutrition, and agricultural systems through BARD and the Israel Innovation Authority.
The BARD Fund R&D Collaboration on Food and Nutrition is a joint program run by the Israel Innovation Authority and the BARD Foundation (United States–Israel Binational Agricultural Research and Development Fund). It invites Israeli industrial corporations and Technology Transfer Offices to attach to existing research projects at U.S. academic institutions that have already received approval from the U.S. National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The program has two separate tracks — one for industrial corporations (Applied Research in Industry) and one for academic TTOs (Applied Research in Academia) — and covers topics including food safety, alternative proteins, agricultural robotics, and smart packaging.
