BC Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants
Supports Cost-shared infrastructure grants for transportation networks in BC communities.
The BC Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants program supports municipalities and communities in building cycling, walking, and active transit infrastructure. Network Planning Grants cover up to 50% of costs or $50,000 (whichever is less) for communities under 25,000 population. Infrastructure Grants reach up to $500,000 per project, with 50-80% cost-share depending on community population and Indigenous status. The program has awarded nearly $130 million across over 400 projects since 2017. The 2025/2026 intake is currently paused pending an independent CleanBC review; no applications are being accepted. Target applicants are local governments and First Nations communities, not private businesses.
